SAM MILLNE & THE VIRANTS
For Sam Millne & The Virants, an emerging indie rock band from Liverpool, I led a logo refresh that aligned closely with their musical identity and the artist’s personality. Working in close collaboration with the band, we developed a visual style that not only captured the 'clean-singer-songwiter' image but also paid homage to Sam’s deep Liverpool roots.
Despite a tight deadline, the process remained fully collaborative, with client feedback shaping every stage of the design. The final outcome included two distinct logo variations: a clean wordmark and a stylized street sign. Both designs drew inspiration from Liverpool’s cultural legacy, with the 'Penny Lane' typeface and iconic street sign motif reinforcing the band’s proud Scouse identity.
