Variety of Outcomes
During my 5 years working in the office of Marie Rimmer CBE, MP I have been able to utilise design in several capacities to best help with building relations in the community and personally building Marie's brand. The work that has been used in campaigning, constituency support and community engagement has been extremely important in my personal development as a politically conscious designer.
This work for Marie includes a variety of outcomes that all fall within a larger brand identity, including; business cards, banners, social media posts, flyers, advertisements, staff ID badges and consultation on a website, which I have maintained since its creation.
This identity utilises graphic elements to best reflect the identity. values and ideology that Marie hopes to present to constituents. This can be seen particularly through the heavy use of parliamentary colours and iconography throughout to present Marie as a parliamentarian who puts constituents and her role as an MP before party affiliations. As well as the coordinated use of both serif and san serif typefaces that present Marie as experienced but in touch with modern issues.
