CULTIVATING PERSONALITY

'Cultivating Personality: A Report on the Role of Graphic Design in Creating, Communicating and Opposing Political Identities in Election Campaigning' is a dissertation that set out to discover some of the key principles that create effective political campaign materials. It did this by highlighting the voices of relevant industry professionals in both the political and design worlds, this includes individuals who have worked on campaign design and strategy with the likes of Jeremy Corbyn, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sadiq Khan.
The purpose of this research project (outside of the aims of the research itself) was to further develop my understanding of the cross-section of design and politics, so that I may best approach future politically focused design work, this would be applied directly into my political work with Marie Rimmer for the forthcoming general election, as well as with my final two university projects, including 'protest / process'.
